Migration And Discrimination in Trás-os-montes Region

“Hide it Beyond the Hill” is a youth exchange that means to open and develop a very traditional and isolated region of Portugal. During 10 days, youth from countries involved in the new migration crisis or suffering from discrimination and stereotypes in our region, will participate in sessions and activities in our community, connecting with each other and with our local population. They will be fighting stereotypes, hate speech and the spread of fake
information. They will use and learn intervention tools to be changemakers. They will prepare the ground for the town to be able to host migrants in the future. They will lead actions on the streets and prepare an intervention theatre to perform in the final day.

Solidarity Mission Academy offers 5 spots for motivated missioners between 18 to 30 years old, especially to those who are challenged by having educational difficulties, unemployment or economical instability, feel isolated coming from a remote area or being a minority of ethnicity, migration, sexuality, or any other, or you are challenged by other people around you (judgements and actions from the side of family, peers, bullies, partner, etc.).
See more criteria in the infopack. Only for the group leader there is no age limit.
